Login Yahoo Mail & How to Sign in Your Yahoo Mail Securely

By default, all new Yahoo! e-mail accounts never allow access through username & password over IMAP. All accounts created previous these updates have the “enable less secure” apps setting allowed ( meaning it’s ok to connect to username/password ). Users are able to see & repair their setting on the Accounts security screen :

Since the new setting was not retroactively used on existing accounts, the majority of Yahoo! users are able to connect with applications. However, Yahoo ! has sent the check in e-mails to few users alert them that the application does not “meet Yahoo’s recommended security standards”. The warning e-mail also includes directions how to repair the “allow less secure” setting :

Ultimately, the solution to this problem is to use authentication to connect to Yahoo over IMAP. If you do not get a Yahoo authentication key, then we highly recommend you attend your Yahoo! users to the new setting to make sure it’s properly enabled.
